Mary Ann Young was born on 15 September 1843. She married William Henry Payne, son of Thomas Jefferson Payne III and Sarah Jane McConnell, on 19 October 1865 in Catoosa County, Georgia.1 She died on 23 December 1868. She is reported to have been buried in Stone Church Cemetery, but the location of the "Stone Church Cemetery" is not identified in the source. An internet search for a cemetery by that name turns up one in Leesburg, Virginia, but given the locations of the other events in the lives of these people it is not likely that cemetery.
