     Paulowna Lavinia Wilmarth was born on 11 August 1823 in Victor, Ontario County, New York. She was the daughter of Otis Wilmarth and Sophronia Boughton. She married Spencer Isaac Cleaveland, son of Asaph Cleaveland and Polly Hawkes, on 29 August 1847 in Royalton, Niagara County, New York.1
