     Emilia Bressler was born on 2 July 1856 in Germany.1 She was the daughter of Albert Bressler and Wilhelmina Blank. She married Fred Behling before 1886. She died on 19 March 1940 in the City Hospital, Menomonie, Dunn County, Wisconsin.2 She was buried on 23 March 1940 in Peace Lutheran church cemetery in Menomonie, Dunn county, Wisconsin.2

She married Edwin Ludwig Helsom, son of Robert Olaus Helsom and Amelia Beil, on 10 December 1913 in Menomonie, Dunn County, Wisconsin.2,3 Her husband Edwin died circa 1961.4 She died on 19 July 1991 in Saint Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota.4,1 She was buried in Roselawn Cemetery in Saint Paul, Ramsey county, Minnesota.

     Karl Johan Helsem was born in 1841 in Stranda, Møre og Romsdal, Norway.2 He was the son of Rasmus Iverson Helsem and Anne Peterdsdatter Ringstad. As of circa 1873, Karl Johan Helsem was also known as Carl Johan Helsom.1 He was the minister at Karen Maria Pedersdatter Sletvoll's burial on 1 March 1911 in Evergreen Cemetery in Menomonie, Dunn county, Wisconsin.1 He died after 1911.

He lived in Strum, Wisconsin in 1911. This is without doubt the Karl Johan Helsem reported in the Stranda Bygdebok (Karl bcame Carl and was referred to as "C. J." in his sister-in-law's obituary)3,1.
