James Henry Armington was born circa 1813 in Massachusetts.1,2 He was the son of Walker Armington and Mercy Jenckes. He married Harriet Talbot circa 1839. He died after 1880.1,2
In the 1860 census it shows James owned $2500 of real estate, $6000 personal property, and with a family of (besides wife Harriet) Alpha (19), Walker (17), Martha (14), Henrietta (9), Esther (7), Sarah (4) and with a domestic servant Polly Dean. James and Harriet are shown in the 1870 census as having four children living with them: Marcy (24), Hattie (19), Esther (17) and Sarah J. (14). He was a cotton agent.1

Joseph Adams was born on 9 February 1625/26 in Kingsweston, Somerset, England. He was the son of Henry Adams and Edith Squire. He married Abigail Baxter on 2 November 1650 in Braintree, Suffolk (now Norfolk) County, the Massachusetts Bay Colony, which at that time was part of the of the New England Confederation.1 His wife Abigail died on 27 August 1692. He died on 6 December 1694 in Braintree, Suffolk (now Norfolk) County, the Massachusetts Bay Colony, which at that time was part of the of the Province of Massachusetts Bay.
