She was buried on 26 January 2011 in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Litchfield, Meeker County county, Minnesota, From the memorial program:
Interment will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Elaine worked as a secretary. After retirement she has kept busy with a lot of volunteer work such as church activities and working as an election judge.
