You have 2 unknowns listed. Sabena or Sabina (one lone church record entry says Barbara) surname is Conrad. We know this from 2 death certificates of her children. William B. Ault's 2nd wife's maiden name was Kroll as listed on her death certificate. Her parents from her death certificate are Mathias Kroll and Annie White. According to William B.'s pension records they were married by Rev. David Gerlach (Mennonite) in his home in Mt. Joy. David was Caroline Imhoff's uncle. I was wondering if you could kill off that first William Ault? That was incorrect information. My latest specualtion is that William is the son of a John Ault born sometime before 1790. This John Ault is the son of an Adam and Mary Ault buried in Ferree cemetary. I have the will of Mary Ault posted. It divides her clothes amongst her daughters. This Ault family did not own land. Where this Adam came from, I don't know. I suspect he is the grandson of Mathias Ault through an unknown son. Mathias did have a son Johan Adam, but the dates don't match up to well. There is also a William B. Ault family Bible mentioned in those records. Yes-kill off the siblings as well. This is a Lebanon county family. They had a William Ault born about the same time. It is not our William. We have no siblings for him. ... Mike |
