He married Rebecca Marstellar, daughter of John Marstellar and Sarah Hillegass, on 18 October 1855 in Richland township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.3 According to conflicting evidence, he married Rebecca Marstellar on 18 November 1855.4 His wife Rebecca died on 31 March 1908.4 He died on 22 February 1915.
