Johannes Boehmer was born on 31 July 1799 in Brecknock Twp., Berks County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Heinrich Boehmer and Susanna Fritz.2 He married Maria Ehrman, daughter of Johann Peter Ehrman and Anna Maria Haverkamm, on 28 September 1819 in First Reformed Church, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.1 He died on 30 November 1839 in Millport, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.1 He was buried in Salem Lutheran Cemetery of Kissel Hill in Lititz, Lancaster county, Pennsylvania.1

John is not listed as a land owner in Warwick Twp. until 1824. We presume that they lived in the smaller house of one of the plantations of either Michael Badorf, Peter Ehrman (grandfather of Maria), or Peter Ehrman, Jr. (father of Maria). The Ehrman plantation was west of Lititz Springs and adjoined the Badorf land on the south. After the death of Maria's father in 1823, this family purchased and moved to a 40 acre farm in Warwick (Spring of 1824) . It was a timber one-story house 27xl5, wood barn 30x18, and a stable 18x15, on the east side of the Lititz Creek at Millport, Pennsylvania bounded on the west by what is now Owl Hill Road. This property was listed in the 1815 Direct Tax List as assessed value of $2850. George Biemesderfer was the owner/occupant in 1815. The Peter Huber, Sr. and Peter Ehrman, Sr. plantations adjoined and there were two or three intermarriages.

Johannes Boehmer and Peter Ehnnan, Jr. were among those on the building committee of Salem Church in 1823.

Johannes died with no will. Inventory taken Deember. 9, 1839 was $1,225.29 and included a wagon complete with cover and draughs valued at $65. He had a 40 acre 90 perches farm in Millport, Warwick Twp., Pennsylvania which was sold at Public Sale Oct. 23, 1840 to Samuel Strickler (husband of Catharine Badorf) for $3,247.50; sold to Daniel Keesport in 1851; sold to Andrew Hackman in 1876 for $7,821.94. A widow's Dower of $603.06 remained in the property until the death of Maria on March 11, 1874. Maria received the interest yearly and at her death it was paid to the seven heirs of Johannes Boehmer. Each received $81.39 and $4.88 for interest.

Johamnes Boehmer's grave stone is carved in German, and Maria's is carved in English. A daughter, Matilda, born Feb. 6, 1831 died Dec. 28, 1832; her stone is carved in German, and they all stand in a row behind the Salem Lutheran Church of Kissel Hill in the cemetery.

The baptisms of Johannes and Maria's older children which are recorded in the Zion Lutheran Church at Manheim, PA were sponsored by their Grandmother, Susanna Badorf. The younger children's baptisms at Salem Lutheran Church of Kissel Hill were listed with the parents as sponsors.3

Susanna Fritz was born in July 1774.1 She was the daughter of Baltzer Fritz.2 She married Heinrich Boehmer, son of Johann Adam Boehmer and Anna Margaretha Seiwel, on 29 January 1798 in Shwartzwald Reformed Church, Berks County, Pennsylvania.1 Her husband Heinrich died circa December 1802.1 She died on 3 October 1844 in near Berks, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.1

Susanna was the daughter of Baltzer Fritz. Baltzer was from Bern Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Susanna was living near her daughter Sarah (Sallie) or in several rooms of the Longnecker home when she died. Her inventory, Oct. 28, 1844, lists the contents of several rooms, ‘notes due her' and interest on her dower valued at $683.37 (the amount of the dower on real estate was handled separately). The administration account shows an entry of $8.50 for gravestones to George Betz on March 20, 1845. Susanna's gravestone was found on the Sensenich Farm on Temperance Hill Road west of Lexington Road in Penn Township. The gravestone of Michael Sadorf had been found about 1900 and placed on the Badorf Family plot in the Moravian Churchyard in Lititz, Pennsylvania. It is in German and resembles the stones that were found under the tree on the Sensenig Farm in 1985. Her son-in-law, Jacob Longnecker was Administrator of the estate; the final account dated Nov. 10, 1845. Susanna's children by her first marriage to Henrich Boehmer preceded her in death.2
