     Robert Alan Brooks Jr. was born on 5 July 1953 in Salem, Salem County, New Jersey. He was the son of Robert Alan Brooks and Marjorie Robinson Robbins. He died on 3 December 1996 in Lurgan, Armagh, Northern Ireland.

Alan spent several years in Ireland, first in the Republic and then in the North.

He married Alma Kathryn Sherman on 16 April 1937.1 He married Muriel Olsen Denman on 27 September 1952.1 He died on 10 December 1986 in Saratoga Springs, Saratoga County, New York.1
