Dorothy Pearl Stoudt, daughter of Edgar Mininger Stoudt and Almeda Bleam, on
March 7, 1940 in Chester, Pennsylvania. Duer died on December 17, 1978 in
Downingtown, Chester, Pennsylvania.

Children of Duer1 Smedley and Dorothy Pearl Stoudt are as follows:

Edgar Allen Stoudt, formerly of Downingtown

Edgar Allen Stoudt, 82, of Pawleys Island, S.C., formerly of Downingtown, died Monday, April 25, 2005, at his home after an illness.

Born Jan. 29, 1923, in Quakertown, Edgar was the son of the late Edgar M. and Almeda Bleam Stoudt.

Edgar graduated from Downingtown High School, and later graduated from Drexel University in 1951.

He served in the Army Air Force as a fighter pilot in the 460th Fighter Squadron, "The Black Rams." First Lieutenant Edgar Stoudt was awarded the Air Medal of Meritorious Achievement while participating in aerial combat over the Philippine Islands on Nov. 24, 1944.

In 1988, he retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. and moved to Pawleys Island, S.C., where he became a member of the Murrells Inlet VFW Post 10420.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marjorie Hall Stoudt; two daughters, Cynthia S. Blount and her husband, John, of Pawleys Island, S.C., and Barbara S. O’Rourke and her husband, James; one brother, Richard Stoudt of Exton; and five grandchildren, Aimee Eubank and her husband, Allen, Scott Blount, Cary Blount, Matthew O’Rourke and Elizabeth O’Rourke.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 28, at St. Paul’s Waccamaw United Methodist Church in Pawleys Island, S.C.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Waccamaw United Methodist Church, 180 St. Paul Place, Pawleys Island, SC 29585.

Arrangements are being handled by the Litchfield Pawleys Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Pawleys Island, S.C., 843-650-3028.
